Classes
Four types, run by five instructors. Everyone teaches them slightly differently, which we think is a feature.
Foundation, 30 minutes
Where to start. Lower intensity, more explanation, and the instructor will come round and check your setup mid-class. Runs weekday mornings and Saturday.
Ride, 45 minutes
The standard class. Rolling intervals, hills, a couple of sprints. The most-booked and the one that fills first on weekday evenings.
Climb, 50 minutes
Heavier resistance, lower cadence, fewer sprints. Harder on the legs and easier on the lungs. Popular with people training for something with actual hills in it, which in Kent means going inland.
Recovery, 30 minutes
Light. Sunday mornings only. Sounds pointless and isn't — it's the class our long-distance regulars book most consistently.
Instructors
| Who | Teaches | Style |
|---|---|---|
| Jo | Ride, Climb | Talks less, counts more |
| Marcus | Ride, Foundation | Loud. Playlists from 1997 |
| Nadia | Climb, Recovery | Precise. Will correct your posture |
| Ell | Foundation, Ride | Gentlest room in the timetable |
| Tom | Ride | Fast, and honest that his class is hard |
If you're returning to exercise after an injury or a long gap, book Foundation with Ell and say so when you book. She'll adjust what she asks of you rather than letting you push through it.
What to bring
Water, a towel if you'd rather use your own, and shoes you can pedal in. Cycling shoes with SPD cleats work; so do trainers. We don't sell anything and there's no shop.
